Description

Troubleshooting Web Printing involves 3 steps: Loftware Print Server, Web Servlet and Web Listener
Problem: Jobs are not printing at remote location via Web Listener

Solution

Determine if LPS is processing files

  1. Run the LPS Status Client. Are jobs displayed as Spooled or Printed?
  2. Are files in the Loftware Labeling\wddrop\spooled directory?

Determine if the Servlet is connecting to LPS

  1. Copy the wdping.exe file from the Loftware Labeling directory to the C:\ drive.
  2. Start | Run | Type cmd.
  3. At the DOS command line, change to the C:\ drive.
    1. Type wdping localhost -c
    2. If 'pushservlet' is in the list of names, it is connected.
    3. If 'pushservlet' is not displayed in the list, make sure the web server and Servlet are started. If it is already started, perform a shutdown and restart and repeat section B.

Determine if the Web Listener is connecting to the Servlet

  1. In the Web Listener Configuration page, click the Push Servlet button and it should connect to the Servlet page, lpsrpt.jsp.
  2. If the page is not accessible, make sure the web server and Servlet are started. If it is already started, shutdown and restart the computer and repeat section C.

Still not processing files?

If the Servlet is connecting to LPS and the Servlet page is correctly opening and files are still not processing, perform a shutdown and restart of the web server and Servlet.
